COMMUNITY
SHARE DC Metro Food Network

SHARE DC Metro Food Network is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for 18 years. SHARE seeks to build bridges within the community as people work together. SHARE stands for Self Help and Resource Exchange. When you become a Host Site for SHARE, you at least double the food value. Many organizations and faith communities purchase packages in bulk, which enables SHARE to reduce the actual cost for the food. There are new menus every month. For only $20.00 per package, anyone can receive $40.00-45.00 worth of food. A regular package of food consists of nutritious items such as meat, fish, poultry, fruit, vegetables, grain and starch. The special package might be a variety of meats, chicken, or seafood items.

The best part of receiving your personal packages of food is that there are no requirements to participate! You are not asked to prove your age, employment, income, or how many persons are living in your household! New Creations has been serving as a SHARE DC Metro Host Site for the last five and one-half years! SHARE has been a tremendous blessing to us. We have been able to meet and service a diverse group of people -- a Senior Housing Complex, members in our Community as well as members of our Church. In addition, many of our youth have received Community Service Hours needed to graduate from school.

Check our calendars for SHARE order and distribution dates. You can also call our Church Office 301-577-7995 today to place your order and/or to receive further information. Someone will return your call promptly. We look forward to serving you!

MORE THAN CONQUERORS
Living Free Ministry

We sometimes face roadblocks in our quest to become less isolated and move toward better relationships with each other and with God. These roadblocks or walls are what we refer to as life-controlling issues or problems. Most of us face a struggle with some kind of life-controlling problem some time in our lives. The easiest life-controlling problems to identify are harmful habits like drug or alcohol use, eating disorders, sexual addictions, gambling, tobacco use, and the like. But life-controlling problems also include harmful feelings like anger and fear. We need God's help.

Our Insight Group is a small group who want to either get free, stay free, help someone else become and stay free from life-controlling problems, or who desire to learn more about the potential we all have for developing such a problem. This is also the entry group to all the other groups being offered under our Lay Counseling Ministry. Our Adult Training Series consists of the following six groups: (1) Insight Group, (2) Free To Grow, (3) Concerned Persons, (4) Anger, (5) Peacemaking, and (6) Knowing God My Father. We also have a Teen Insight Group that consists of Teen Insight Group, Choices, Peacemaker and Knowing God My Father.

Won't you join our Insight Group? You will be glad you did! Call our Church Office 301.577.7995 today. Someone will return your call promptly.
